How to Get Paint Out of Clothes

If you’ve been painting for even the shortest amount of time, then getting paint on your clothes comes as no surprise. Today I’m going to give you a few tips on how to get paint out of clothes so that those festive t-shirts can be worn time and time again!

How to Get Paint Out of Clothes

If you read my latest blog post you know how much I love my fun and festive t-shirts from the t-shirt subscriptions that I am a part of. What I really hate, though, is when I’m painting in those adorable t-shirts and I get paint on them.

Supply List

  1. Rubbing Alcohol
  2. Sponge
  3. Toothbrush

Getting Paint Out of Clothes

This trick is so simple, all you’re going to need is rubbing alcohol, a sponge, and an old or unused toothbrush. Pour the rubbing alcohol on the paint on your clothes and then scrub it with a toothbrush or sponge. You may need to go back and forth between the sponge and the toothbrush so that you’re able to scrub the paint out of your clothes really well. Keep repeating this process until all the paint is out!

Your Next Steps

Once it’s out, just leave your clothes to dry, and then you can run them through the wash. It’s that easy, I have used this trick many times and it really works! If you’re a frequent painter, put this tip to good use.

In case you missed where I shared this example on my Facebook page, you can catch that here. I shared a post giving some tips about removing paint from your clothes.
